In early June, The Agora Collective hosted the Open Source Circular Economy Berlin Days, with a focus on Circular Textile Challenges. After a number of presentations from industry professionals, namely Post-Couture, and Filippa K, groups were formed to discuss possible solutions for a multitude of challenges. Our particular challenge was ‘How can secondhand compete with traditional retail?’ After an hour of brainstorming the group created a new concept store named – Tried and True where secondhand clothing was given a new lease of life. Story telling through personlised tags, guaranteed cleanliness, and a carefully curated fashionable store were all unique features of this store.
You can hear the TEDx presentation from Martijn Van Strien from Post-Couture in the clip below. Interesting and inspiring stuff.
